The day the Ditch Witch came to town
All day the neighborhood echoed with the sounds of men and machinery at work. As we went out for our evening walk, we saw this crew with a Ditch Witch. They were boring under the road. The signs on the truck doors mentioned fibre optic cabling—I suppose it's too much to hope that finally we may be able to obtain high-speed Internet access?
The warning sign may be prescient, but I was in too much pain to summon up more than a wry grimace at the irony.
The moon was on the rise in a clear sky to the east.
However, to the west it looked like we might be treated to a dramatic sunset.
The cloud passed overhead and filled the whole sky, east to west.
Plenty of flowers to see on our walk.
These two cats were out walking together shoulder to shoulder as a pair, but split up when they saw us.
After we arrived back home, the evening sunset show began. Here is a small selection of the pictures I made.
