Forgive the excessive dynamic range failure
Every picture in this post is outside the dynamic range of the camera's sensor and has been 'doctored'.
Sometimes the cure is almost worse than the affliction: everything looks slightly hyperreal, like old postcards did.
However, it is arguable that the pictures are not 'fake', but an honest attempt to portray what I actually saw.
Technical limitations aside, everything seemed visually hyperreal at the time.
The excessive dynamic range claim is demonstrated by the sky in this picture: in reality it was deep blue!
So, skeumorphs can work if tastefully executed.
Better eyes than mine assured me that on the skyline left of center is a vehicle; right of center someone is using a camera.
Will these trees escape the pruning blitzkreig that is ongoing in the neighborhood?
That pale blue sky should be a vibrant azure. Oh well.
