♪ Blue skies, Nothing but blue skies ♪
Lots of big skies in between the monsoon storms today. This place has 300 sunny days per year—that's frequently 360° blue sky, literally without a cloud in sight—and a few completely overcast days. So fifty days a year there are clouds. Unlike many places, where people say "Make the most of the sunshine", I am more inclined to make the most of the clouds.
Hey! Nobody's forcing you to come here and read these posts and look at the pictures! On my daily walk, I pass these 'flowers', which I am reliably informed are 'weeds'. I once had a teacher who often solemnly advised us that a "rose in a cabbage patch is a weed"! I imagined it might be a common enough saying, if not a quotation from a lofty authority. Google advises that the complete quoted phrase entered as a search term only occurs on two website, repetitiously on one where the author seems to have taken the phrase to heart as a metaphor for unnecessary noise in hospital waiting rooms, and as advice to writers on another. Who are you looking at, buddy?
